Obituary

Glendora Tillery of Fennville, Michigan passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Holland Community Hospital in Holland, Michigan. Glendora, known as Glen to most, was born on April 7, 1940 in Luxora, Arkansas to Neblett Monroe Conley and Georige Lee Hicks-Conley. Glen is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Elvis and Charles Conley; sisters, Loucille Griggs, Louise Boyd, Francis Tillery, Lillie Wilson, Willie Armstrong, Dorothy Swain; two great-grandchildren, Harmony Carr and Alexis Cowley and six brother-in-laws. Glen married the love of her life, Thomas Leon Tillery on June 18, 1960. Together they had five children. Glen will be missed by her husband of nearly 59 years, her children, Sandra Wilson of Fennville, Michigan, Sharron (Jim) McKay of Holland, Michigan, Russell Tillery of Bangor, Michigan, Bobby (Dawn) Tillery of Fennville, Michigan and Terri (Allen) Ray of Stevensville, Michigan; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Rushing and Wilma Scroggins-McPike, both of Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews. Glen was raised with traditional southern values, a deep Christian faith and a strong work ethic, which would help Glen later as a military wife raising five children while her husband was serving his country. Glen had a wonderful sense of humor. When she smiled you couldn't help but to smile back. She enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing or picking blueberries, she loved birds and her outside critters. She had a green thumb and could plant a flower garden anywhere. And usually did. Glen had a fierce love and loyalty for her family. She was always there when her family needed her and ready to help at the drop of a hat. She taught her family about strength and love and how to be a honest and a true Christian. Her faith and belief in God helped her through many trials in her life, with more losses than any one person should have to endure. But, she knew that someday she would again be reunited with those she had love and lost. . Service Details. Visitation Monday, May 13th, 2019 | 11:00am - 1:00pm Chappell Funeral Home 637 W.
