Gertrude J. Baker, age 90, of Fennville, MI, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008 at Lake Side Vista and Villas in Holland, MI. Born June 17, 1918 in Peotone, IL, she was the daughter of John H. Pooley and Minnie (Warren) Pooley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ganges United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Baker Sept. 22, 2004 and two grandchildren, Keri Newman and Christopher Baker. Surviving are her children; Kenneth and Susan Baker of Dallas, TX, Shirley and Roy Newman of Fennville, and Linda and Walter Johnson of Fennville, grandchildren; Kevin, Keely, Lindsay, Stephanie, Monica, Brian, Jeffrey, and Sarah, great-grandchildren; Kaia, Sydney, and Noah. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2008 at the Ganges United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jean Smith officiating, and burial in Plummerville Cemetery.
