George Evans Wesbey, Jr., age 93, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2022. Husband of the late Diane (Dee) Wesbey. He was cared for by Oasis Hospice and his loving son. George was born May 31, 1928 to George and Myrtle Wesbey in Chicago, IL. This is where he began his life long love of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Upon high school graduation, George enlisted in the Navy and served in WWII. He then attended Augustana College and became a teacher. He taught Science at Riverside Brookfield High School and coached swimming, football and golf. Upon retirement, he and Dee split their time between their two homes in Pullman, MI and Naples, FL. This allowed them to enjoy their love of golf all year. What he loved most about retirement was Summer visits with his grandchildren and creating memories and traditions to pass on to future generations. George is survived by his son, Timothy (Kristin) Wesbey; four grandchildren, Allison (Myles), Chad (Carly), Andrew (Elizabeth) and Dylan (Julia); and three great grandchildren, Luke, Alexandra and Sebastian. A private funeral and service will be held for the immediate family in Pullman, Michigan. Service Details.
