George F. Weed, age 91, of Fennville, MI, died, Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at the Holland Community Hospital. Born Oct. 7, 1916, in Saugatuck, MI, he was the son of Milton and Mildred (French) Weed. He was a Technical Sargent with the US Army Air Force during WW II. He married Mary Virginia Warren on April 28, 1951. George was a Independent Distributor for Standard Oil Company for 25 years in the local area, and a member of the Glenn United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Virginia, their children; James and Beth Weed of Butler, PA, and Linda and Tim Stennett of Fennville, grandchildren; Laura, Michelle, Philip, and Amanda, great- grandchildren; Naomi and Zeke. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at the Chappell Funeral Home, Fennville, with the Rev. Jean Smith officiating, and burial in Taylor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
