George W. Hall, age 87 of Fennville, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his sons home. Born October 8, 1929 in Georgia, he was the son of Charles and Florence (Harrington) Hall. George was an auto mechanic, most of his life, he and his son Robert owned and operated Gran Sport Farm in Fennville. His favorite past time was drag racing, he enjoyed building and racing his cars. He was a life member of the Gran Sport Club of America. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family. George was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Hall in 2014, and one brother Cranford Hall. Surviving are his children Robert and Linda Hall of Fennville, Janice and Linus Starring of Saugatuck, Judy and Jeffrey Thurston of Pinckney, MI, nine grandchildren nine great-grandchildren, two brothers Marvin and Mary Hall of Doniphan, Missouri, and Raymond and Ann Hall of South Carolina. At his request cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
