Gene (Siska) Olsen, age 88, of Holland, formerly of Douglas, Michigan, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Tender Care in Holland. Born May 22, 1926 in Oak Park, Illinois, she was the daughter of George and Josephine (Horacek) Kostal. Gene moved to the Douglas area in 1959, and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband John (Jack) Olsen in 2001, son Stephen Siska in 2003, son Albert Siska in 2013, and one sister Henritte Calabrese. Surviving are her children; Joseph and Lori Siska of Grand Rapids, MI, Sandra Daniel of Henderson, NV, Sally and Jerry Painter of Holland, MI, Susan Siska of West Salem, WI, eleven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, July 28, 2014 from 6:30 till 9:00 p.m. and funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI.
