Gary Thomann, 75, of Fennville, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born in Douglas, Michigan, on December 27, 1950.

Gary was the son of the late Winnifred Thomann. He graduated from Fennville High School in 1970. He worked at Harrington Construction for many years and retired from Thermatron.

Outside of work, Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching the Tigers in the summer and the Lions in the winter.

Gary was a devoted husband to his wife Donna of 51 years. He is survived by his wife and 3 children, Tracy (Matt) Menken, Kelly (Joseph) Holland, and Todd (Jill) Thomann, as well as grandchildren: Derek (Angel), Brandon (Jordan), Tate, Jordyn, Kamryn, Taylor, Sydney, Reid, and Ava, and great-grandchildren Bentley, Kamdyn, Elijah, Jaylen and Vincent.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Winnifred, and his sister, Connie Veen.

Gary’s visitation will be at Chappell Funeral Home on October 2, 2026, at 11:00am with a service starting at 12:00pm.
