Freddie Douglas, 78 of Fennville, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at his home. Born in Marianna, Arkansas he was employed in construction and retired from the sanitary department of the City of Detroit. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Surviving are his wife , Von: children Tony Douglas of Grand Rapids, and Sheryl Rainer of Detroit; one granddaughter: sisters Gladys Bynum and Cozella Franklin both of Fennville, and Ora Gibson, Eonia Smith, Shariotta Hackney and Katie Mae coffee, all of Chicago: a brother, Melton Franklin Sr. of Cincinnati; nieces and nephews. Services are noon Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the funeral home with Mr. Carl Mosby officiating. Visiting is from 11:00 A.M. till service time.
