Florence A. Squire passed away April 27, 2021. She was born May 23, 1917 and married Roland Squire of Manistee on October 1, 1938. They were married for over 60 years. Florence was a nurse and worked at Mercy Hospital in Manistee, Grayling, and Ann Arbor. She was also a nurse at Douglas Community Hospital and Fennville Campbell Mushroom Farm. Her favorite pastimes were playing scrabble, flower gardening, and horseshoes. They had seven children together, Gregg (Val), Gary, Bob (Diane), Mike (Elaine), Joan (Bob), Pat (Albert), and Mary (Ron). They had 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, her daughter-in-law Marie, and grandson John. A service will be held at St. Peter's Church in Douglas, MI on April 29. Family will receive guests in the gathering area at 10:00 am and Mass will begin at 11:00 am. Memorials may be made to Wings of Hope Allegan Hospice. The family would like to thank the care givers at Medilodge of Holland and Hospice of Holland. Service Details.
