Fern Janice Hurtman, age 67, passed away quietly at her home in Holland, MI, May 12, 2017. Janice enjoyed life with an uncanny sense of humor, strong faith, love of nature and an amazing artistic gift. She was a loving presence for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert A. and Ruth R. Neel (Martin) of Benton Harbor, MI, sister Charlene J. Frederich of Lexington, KY and brother Robert A. Neel Jr. of St. Joseph, MI. Surviving is her loving son Timothy R. Hurtman of Holland, MI, sister Rebecca Van Woerkom of Grand Rapids, MI, grandsons TJ Hurtman and Daniel Hurtman also of Grand Rapids, a sweet great-granddaughter Addison Rose Hurtman of Grand Rapids, and many extended family and dear friends. At her request, cremation has taken place, and a celeberation of life will be held at a later date.
