Ewald George Males, age 81, of Fennville, died Monday, September 9, 2013 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital following a car accident on August 1, 2013. The son of Ewald John and Marie (Kufka) Males, Ewald was born on April 21, 1932 in Chicago. Ewald is loved and survived by his wife Winifred (Vetter); a loving father to Julie (Randy) Van Liere, Lisa (Steve) Horn, Brian (Anna) Males, and Lynn (Rick) Haringsma; adored grandfather of Rebecca Males, Joe (Jessica) Schippa, Casey (John) Gardea, Elizabeth (Bob) Burnson, Hank Haringsma, Kevin Schippa, Mark Haringsma and Derek (Diana) Peel; a great grandfather to many; dear brother to Jean (Lee) Holbert . Ewald was preceded in death by his parents, Ewald J. and Marie Males, both of Fennville. Ewald was a resident of the Fennville area his entire life and after high school he served with the U.S. Army in Korea. Ewald was a self employed Master Electrician. He was a lover of animals, western movies, and coffee breaks at the Blue Goose CafAC.. In keeping with Ewald's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place 1:00 PM Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Harrington's, 2370 Lakeshore Drive, Fennville.
