Evelyn W. Fisher, age 91, of Fennville passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Golden Orchards Assisted Living in Fennville. Born July 26, 1921 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Albert and Ellen Bloom. Evelyn was a US Postal Clerk at the Fennville Post Office for many years. She was a member of the Pearl United Methodist Church, the Quilting Club of Holland, and volunteered, many hours at the Christian Neighbors in Douglas. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Alvern (Newt) Fisher on May 4, 1998. Surviving are her children; Norm Fisher of Ganges, Kenneth and Pat Fisher of Fennville, Michael and Robin Fisher of Fennville, Mary Ann and Pinky Barnes of Fennville, and Sally Moeller of Fennville, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and her sister-in-law Helen Bloom of Otsego. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, Michigan. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Peterson, and burial will be in the Manlius Cemetery, New Richmond, MI. Memorial donations may be made to the Pearl United Methodist Church, or the New Richmond Baptist Church.
