Evelyn Marie Chatterson, age 93, of Fennville, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at her home. Born November 7, 1923 in Ganges Township, Michigan she was the daughter of Samuel and Ida (Collins) Reed. Evelyn was a graduate of Wayne School of Practical Nursing Chicago, Illinois. She worked as a nurse at Allegan General Hospital, Douglas Hospital, many nursing homes in the area, and also at Life Savers in Holland. She was a faithful member of the Ganges Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Chatterson on May 10, 1995 and by one daughter Sharon Munshaw on Sept. 11, 1980. She is survived by her children; Ruth A. Wedge of Grand Rapids, Lois Brown of Fennville, Robert Chatterson of Saugatuck, David Chatterson of Fennville, Roseann Dagen of Fennville, grandchildren; Corey and Constance Brown of Westland, MI, Mary Brown of Fennville, Mark and Erica Metz of Fennville, great-grandchildren; Kaleb, Khloe, Kendall, Kambrie Metz, Alex Brown, Caiden and Caylee Brown, sisters; Barbara Hambley, Bernice Hathaway, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI 49408.
