Eugene Thomas Saintz, 72 of Fennville, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Holland Community Hospital. Born December 13, 1936 in Youngstown, Penn., he was the son of Raymond and Clara (Mienholdt) Saintz. A US Army veteran he served on president John F. Kennedy's honor guard. Eugene, married Joan O'Reilly on May 13, 1961 in Cleveland, OH. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Allendale, MI, and also the American Legion. Surviving is his wife Joan, children; Joseph Saintz, John and Cynthia Saintz, James and Lisa Saintz, Janet and Jeff Roark, all of Allegan, MI, and Julie Maki-Fifield of Holland, MI, eighteen grandchildren, brothers; Charles and Elaina Saintz of Nebraska, William and Lorraine Saintz of Watervliet, MI, Ronald and Marie Saintz of Penn, sister Barbara of Ohio and one sister-in-law Elizabeth Saintz of Ohio. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. and a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. all at the St. Margaret Mary Parish 11352 Brown St. Allendale, MI 49401, with Fr.
