Esta May Thompson, age 83, of Fennville, Michigan passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Resthaven Care Center in Holland. Born December 28, 1931 in Fennville, Michigan she was the daughter of Carl and Ruby (Bushee) Anderson. Esta graduated from Fennville High School in 1949. She and her husband owned a service station in Fennville and a dairy farm in Bravo for many years. She attended the Pearl Church, Pearl Ladies Aid and was Clyde Township Treasurer for 8 years. Esta enjoyed gardening, working with the Girl Scouts, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Thompson in 2001, son Kevin Thompson in 1984 and grandson Bryce Field in 1988. Surviving are her children; Kirk Thompson and Karen Knight of Fennville, Kyle and Keri Thompson of Fennville, Connie and Ted Swinger of Grand Rapids, Christie and Joel Cook of Fennville, Cindy and Bob Birtles of Holland, Carolyn Field of Jenison, Carla and Joe Zblewski of Allegan, 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and funeral services will 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Chappell Funeral Home Fennville. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Peterson and Rev. Mark Douglas, with burial in Pearl Cemetery.
