Ervin Leroy Kimber

Ervin Leroy Kimber, age 81, of Allegan County, Michigan, passed away on September 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and a life well lived.

Born on July 25, 1945, in Holland, Michigan, Ervin carried the values of hard work, steadfast faith, and family throughout his life. He was known for his strong character, kind heart, and unwavering belief in the Lord. Those who knew him will remember him as a man who was always willing to lend encouragement, share a story, or offer a helping hand.

Faith was the cornerstone of Ervin's life. He rarely went anywhere without his Bible and never hesitated to share the message of God's love with those around him. Whether speaking with family, friends, or complete strangers, he found joy in discussing his faith and encouraging others. As a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church, Ervin shared his faith both within his church family and throughout the community. His devotion was evident not only in his words, but also in the way he lived each day.

In addition to his faith, Ervin had a great love for sports. Baseball and boxing were among his favorite pastimes, and he enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. He took great pride in his collection and loved the memories and conversations it inspired. Ervin was also a gifted storyteller whose stories brought laughter, reflection, and connection to family and friends alike.

Above all else, Ervin loved his family. His greatest joy came from time spent with those he loved, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. He especially cherished the life he built with his beloved wife, Maria, and the many family gatherings that brought everyone together.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Maria Kimber; his daughter, Rebecca; Maria's children, Manuel "Nuni," Espy, and Tracy; his brother, Herm Kimber; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Tracy Kimber and Betty Lou Brink, and Maria’s daughter, Michelle "Michie" Martinez.

Ervin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His faith, kindness, and devotion to family leave a lasting legacy. While he will be greatly missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
