Emma Jean Cochran, age 95, of Fennville, Michigan passed away Monday, February 08, 2016 at Holland Hospital. Born June 27, 1920 in Murray, KY, she was the daughter of John and Letie (Irvan) Bailey. Emma worked as a cosmetologist and was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her Husband James E. Cochran on January 18, 2016, parents, and sister Mary Kay Graham. Emma is survived by her sons, Carl Jennings and long time friend Larry Gammons of Douglas, MI, Harold Jennings of Vicksburg, MS, Robert Kemp of Ann Arbor, MI; 10 grandchildren, including local residents Sharon Shanahan, Colin Jennings, and Deborah Korfker, and 21 great grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made in Emma's name to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street Allegan, MI 49010. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM with services starting at 11:30 AM at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, MI 49408 with burial to follow at Douglas Cemetery. Rev. Salvatore Sapienza of Douglas Congregational United Church of Christ will be officiating.
