Emil E. Wons, age 88 of Fennville, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 at the Grace of Douglas. Born Dec. 14, 1920 in Chicago, Il, he was the son of Edwin and Ann Wons. Emil was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas, Michigan. He retired from the Fennville Post Office, after many years of service as a rural mail carrier. He also loved to shoot pool in the Fennville area. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances in 1983, one son LeRoy Wons, one sister, and three brothers. He is survived by his daughter Barbara and Duke Hutchins of Glenn, MI, five grandchildren, and one sister Dorothy Izdepski of Nashville, IL. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at St. Peter's Catholic Church Douglas, MI with burial in Fennville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 16, 2009 from 6-8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home Fennville, MI. Memorial donations may be made to any Humane Society.
