Elwin Lee Perkins, age 94, of Fennville, Michigan, has been reunited with his wife, Mae Alzina Stehle Perkins. Elwin passed away January 9, 2018, he was the child of the late, James Perry Perkins and Gladys Akerly Perkins. Elwin is a proud, decorated member of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. Very well known in the community, Mr. Perkins was the owner and operator of a successful construction company, Perkins Building Contractors, in the Fennville area. Elwin is survived by three of his children, Lester (Pam) Perkins, Timothy Perkins and Brad Perkins; his brother, Dennis Perkins; grandchildren, Eric (America) Perkins, Jeremy Perkins; great grandchildren, Carlos (Kim) Acevedo, Makayla (Ryan) Goodell, Karla Acevedo, Hunter Perkins, Quinna Perkins, Chloe Perkins; and a great, great granddaughter, Coraline Goodell. Elwin is preceded in death by his son, Michael Perkins; grandson, Tracy Perkins; and many siblings. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 4 PM - 7 PM at Chappell Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11 AM, at Chappell Funeral Home, with a visitation from 10 AM - 11 AM prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
