Elvira G. Hughes, age 90 of Fennville, Michigan passed away, Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Medilodge of Holland. Born November 13, 1924, she was the daughter of Mariano and Adela (Reyes) Garcia. Elvira was a longtime Fennville are resident working for Huntree Nursery for over 20 years. She attended the Pentecostal Church of God in Fennville and the First Assembly of God Church in Holland. Surviving are her children; Clodoveo and Alicia Hughes, James and Mary Hughes, Mariano and Candy Hughes, Ralph and Pam Hughes all of Fennville, Roy and Rose Hughes of Holland, George Hughes of Chicago, Elvira and Michael Harper, Mary and Paul Martinez, Leticia and Angel all of Fennville, Christine and Roland Campos of Holland, Rose Hughes of San Antonio, TX, forty grandchildren and many great and great great-grandchildren, and one brother Osvaldo Garcia of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Clodoveo Hughes in 1965, one grandson, one granddaughter and one sister. Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, with funeral services 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville.
