Ella Marie Decker, 85, of Fennville, MI passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her home. Born October 23, 1939 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Agnes Frances (Shealy) Brooks and was the wife of Jerry Loren Decker. Ella was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Douglas and was also an active member of the Allegan County Snowmobile Club for many years. She had worked as a beautician and was the longtime owner and operator of Mac's Landing Beauty Shop. Ella enjoyed crafting, especially making jewelry and sewing. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Ella was always an active participant in her daughters' lives from the time they were in school and through adulthood. She will be deeply missed and her memory treasured.
In addition to Jerry, her husband of sixty-six years, Ella is survived by her daughters, Deb Couturier, Brenda Langston and Bonny Decker; her brother, William Hagemann; grandchildren, Randy, Joseph (Amanda), Jacob, Kaitlyn (Aaron) and Cody (Alexia); and seven-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Pinkley; son-in-law, Tony Couturier; and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Hagemann.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter Catholic Church, 100 St. Peter Drive, Douglas on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM with visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Douglas Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, P.O. Box 248, Douglas, MI 49406.
