Elizabeth P. Tharp, 90, passed away on June 11, 2015. She was born April 16, 1925 in Springfield Illinois. Elizabeth worked as a medical stenographer in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Denver, Colorado. She was active in her local churches throughout her life. During her retirement years and throughout her life she enjoyed her family time at the Tharp family homestead on Lakeshore Drive in Fennville, Michigan. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Russell Tharp, and her eldest son Douglas. Elizabeth is survived by her son Greg Tharp; daughter Carol Brooks; daughters-in-law Kim Tharp and Nataly Iyar Tharp; son-in-law Mike Brooks; granddaughters, Christa, Melissa, Sara, Rebecca, Lindsay and Carson; and great-grandchildren Danelle, Halia, Josie and Evan. A Graveside Service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015 at Taylor Cemetery, Fennville MI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice, Jacksonville, FL.
