Edward J. Korthaze, age 94, of Fennville, MI passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at Golden Orchards in Fennville, Michigan. Born July 12, 1922 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of John and Anne (Sullivan) Korthaze. Edward had lived in the Fennville area for the past 27 years moving from Illinois. He proudly served his country in World War II as a member of the United States Air Force. Edward was active in the community as a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of over 64 years Joyce Korthaze of Fennville; children, Karen and Larry Gorczowski of Galena, IL, Kim and Dean VanderBok of Fennville; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and his brother Richard Korthaze of New York, NY. A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, MI. A 1:00 PM graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Fennville Cemetery with Deacon Tony Nethercott officiating.
