His love for his wife and family was the cornerstone of his life, he loved helping his son Brian on the farm picking fruit, or thinning peaches, and pears.

A true sports enthusiast, he shared his love of all teams Detroit, ups and downs, with his daughter Beth, scratching lottery tickets, riding his mule in the orchards, and sharing the comforts of everyday life with his daughter Brenda.
