Obituary

Dorothy M. Wolters, age 93, of Holland, MI, died Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Inn at Freedom Village. Born February 16, 1918 in Ganges, Michigan, she was the daughter of Duane and Nellie (Knowlton) Miller. Dorothy was a retired school teacher, working in the Fennville Public Schools for 33 years. She was a charter member of the Community Church Douglas, and a member of the Allegan County Retired School Teachers Association. She lived most of her life in the Fennville area, moving to Freedom Village in 2001. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Wolters on January 18, 2004. She is survived by her sons; Thomas and Karla Wolters of Zeeland, and William and Susan Wolters of Orono Maine, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 3-6 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home Fennville, with funeral services 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Community Church Douglas, with Dr. Daniel N. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Fennville Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Community Church Douglas. An online registry book is available at www.chappellfuneralhome.com
