Dorothy Jane Otto, age 86, of Douglas, MI passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at her home. Born April 16, 1927 in Lansing, Michigan, she was the daughter of Walter and Nina (Cook) Reddy. After graduating Michigan State University, Dorothy taught elementary school, and married her husband Thomas L. Otto on April 17, 1965. She spent many summers in the Douglas area, becoming a full time resident in 1985. Dorothy was a member of the Community Church of Douglas, ALPHA PHI, and a very active member of the Health Card Committee of CCD. Surviving is her husband Thomas, son John and Robbie Otto of Saugatuck, MI, daughter Mary and James Johnson of Cedarburg, WI, grandsons Dayne Otto and Blake Otto, her sister Patricia Ferguson of Milwaukee, WI, and sister-in-law Barbara Reddy of Wauwatosa, WI. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Community Church of Douglas, 6780 Wiley Rd. Douglas, MI, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. till service time.
