Dorothy Ann Newman, 90, of Fennville, died Friday, June 17, 2005, in Holland Hospital. Born in Chicago, she lived in the Ganges area since 1963. She was a member of Ganges United Methodist Church. Her husband, Marvin, preceded her in death in 1977. Surviving are her children, Roy and Shirley Newman, Virginia and Jerry Van Oordt, and Margery Johnson all of Fennville; six grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Monday, at Ganges United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barbara Fay officiating. Burial will be in Plummerville Cemetery. Visiting is 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St. Memorials may be made to Ganges United Methodist Church.
