Obituary

Dorothea Neerken Tucker of Fennville, formerly of Allegan, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Hospice House of Holland. She was born on March 30, 1910 in Graafschap, raised in Holland and lived most of her life in Allegan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Irving J. Tucker in April 1956, and her son, Irving D. Tucker in February 2006. Dorothea was a member of the Ganges United Methodist Church, former member of the Allegan United Methodist Church. She was a life member of the Eastern Star of Allegan. She worked for Sears Roebuck and Co. as a teletypist and the Grange Store in Allegan. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother as she was always focused on family, friends and church. She is survived by her daughter Marcia A. Tucker, Fennville, whom she lived with for the past eight years; son Theodore J. and Elaine Tucker of Commerce Township; granddaughters Robyn Arnold of Houston Texas, Charon and Phil Howell of Abilene, Texas; grandsons Theodore J. and Sue Tucker of Brighton, John and Christine Tucker of Lexington, S.C., James and Monica Tucker of Commerce Township, and Todd and Tracey Tucker of Richland. Also 5 Great-grandchildren survive her. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her Life Service will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 11am at the Ganges United Methodist Church with Pastor Jean M. Smith officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 2pm to 6pm ath the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville.
