Donald G. Shepherd, age 68, of Sodus, Michigan, formerly of Fennville, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015. Born January 28, 1947 in Beulah, Missouri he was the son of Charles and Rilla (Ashburn) Shepherd. Donald was a retired farmer, and was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Shepherd in 1992. Surviving are his children Ruth Ann Shepherd and Kimberly Shepherd both of Florida, brothers; Lonnie Shepherd, Larry and Virginia Shepherd both of Arkansas, Bud Shepherd of Florida, Glenn Shepherd of Oklahoma, seven grandchildren three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a very special friend Faye Friend of Sodus, Michigan. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, Michigan with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery Ganges Township Allegan County, Michigan.
