Mr. Donald Albert Nye, 78, passed away at his home in Fort Meade, FL on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014. Mr. Nye was born May 13, 1936 in Douglas, MI and resided in Fennville, MI and Fort Meade, FL during the winter since 1996. He was a retired millwright with Rockwell International, and member of the Ganges Baptist Church, Fennville, MI. Mr. Nye was a U.S. Navy Reserve veteran and a former school board member in Fennville for many years. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Nye, Fennville, MI and Fort Meade, FL; sons, Kerry L. Nye and wife Barbara, San Diego, CA, Steven D. Nye and wife Pam, Fennville, MI, and Roger A. Nye and wife Caroline, Kendall Park, NJ; daughter, Donna L. Ely and companion Darrel Larsen, Ostego, MI; brother, Gerald F. Nye, Fort Meade, FL; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held in Fort Meade, FL, 11:00am - 12:00pm, Tuesday, Dec. 23rd at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway. Visitation in Fennville, MI will be held 1:00pm - 3:00pm, Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 West Main St. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
