Deborah Ann Duffey, 63, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020 at her home in Gobles surrounded by her family. Born November 6, 1956 in Holland, MI, she was the daughter of Shirley (Higgins) Steanburg and the late Everett Higgins. On May 22, 1980 Deborah married Michael Duffey and this year marked forty years of marriage. She was an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia and had filled two huge curio cabinets at home with her treasures. Deborah loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of the ways she stayed involved in their lives was to volunteer as scorekeeper at their softball and baseball games. There was nothing that Deborah loved more than having all of the family gathered together. In addition to her mother, Shirley, and her husband, Michael, she is survived by her children, Rondal (Carrie) Montgomery and Michael (Jennifer) Montgomery; sisters, Pam (Dan) Schut and Peggy (Clyde) Covell; grandchildren, Dustin (Tabitha), Jessica (Daniel), Chelsea (Seth), Tyler and Blake; and her great-grandchildren, Lola, Emerson, Maverick, Annabelle, Athena and Iris. A graveside memorial service will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM in Fennville Cemetery with Pastor Marcia Tucker officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the family in lieu of flowers. A Celebration of Life will be held this Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Little John Lake County Park in Allegan starting at 11:00am.
