David Alan Shope, age 69 of Fennville, Michigan formerly of Tucson, Arizona, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at his daughters home. Born December 9, 1947 in Tacoma, Washington, he was the son of David and Glenna (Hesse) Shope. David was a veteran for 20 years, serving in the US Army during Vietnam and also the US Air Force Reserves. He lived most of his life in the Tucson area, moving to Fennville in 2015 to be with his daughter. David came from a strong Baptist background, he loved the Lord, and spending time reading his bible. He is survived by his daughter Diane and Robert Adams of Fennville, grandchildren; Steven W. Hightower and Ashley E. Hightower, sister, June and John Giusto, brothers; Sam and Nancy Shope, Walter and Karen Shope, Bill and Virginia Shope, step-mother Susan Shope, and half-sister Savana Shope, all of Tucson, Arizona.
