Cynthia Joan "Cindy" Schaffrath, 52, of Douglas, MI passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at home with her family at her side. Born January 18, 1969 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Anna (Neisser) Schaffrath. Cindy loved to relax by listening to the radio. She enjoyed all types of music and rarely missed her favorite talk show, The Free Beer and Hot Wings Morning Show. Cindy was a wonderful grandma who happiest moments came from the time she spent with the ones she loved. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Amber (Kevin Mahlum) Ridley, Amanda Ridley, Heather Vedder and Katie Creekmore; siblings, Theresa Brooks and William Layton; and eight grandchildren, Austin, Riley, Luca, Max, DeMya-Mae, Victoria-Rose, Victor and Amiyah. A celebration of Cindy's life will be held beginning at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the home of her friend, Doreen.
