Clifford F. McNeal, age 98, of Hamilton, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Holland Community Hospital. Born January 18, 1913 in Bangor, Michigan, he was the son of Albert and Prudence (McConnell) McNeal. Clifford was a US Army Veteran in WW II, and a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was a member of the American Legion in Dorr, the Masonic Lodge in Allegan, and also the Local Engineers Union #324. He owned and loved Belgian and Clydesdale horses, for many years. Cliff was preceded in death by one step son Richard Church and one step daughter Diane Wells. Surviving are his wife Helen, children; Betty and Gary Roseboom, Patrick and Linda McNeal, David and Monica McNeal, Step-children; John and Carol Church, Ken and Angie Church, Andy and Julie Church, Mike and Linda Church, Donna and Greg Ward, Cathy and Douglas Jansen, Marie Church, and Tom and Tammy Church and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 7, 2011 at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., in Fennville with Pastor Gene Hall and Sue Beavers officiating.
