Chester V. Thomas, 81 of Fennville, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Allegan General Hospital. Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, he served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II and Korea. He was a retired maintenance worker. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Thomas. He is survived by wis wife, Jeannette Thomas of Fennville; children, Chester Thomas Jr., Michael Thomas, Rickey Thomas, all of Hagerstown, Maryland. James Thomas of Holland, MI, John Thomas and Sandy Thomas all of Fennville, Jeffrey and Nicole Thomas of Redford, MI., Patti Thomas of Hagerstown, Maryland, Joyce and Michael Zahl of Middleville, MI, Joanne Thomas and Janice Perez-Thomas both of Fennville and Jennifer Thomas of Wayland, MI. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Services are 11:00 A.M. Friday Jan 5, 2007 at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Visiting is from 5-8 pm Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 at the funeral home.
