Obituary

Charlie H. Ridley, age 91 of Casco Township, Michigan passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven. Born April 26, 1924 in Casco Township. He was the son of Emmett and Thelma (Overhiser) Ridley. Charlie was a lifelong resident of the Casco Township area, working as a farmer. He attended the Casco United Methodist Church. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman, who, along with his wife and family went on many hunting and fishing trips. He is preceded in death by his wife Gladys Ridley on August 7, 2005, both parents, brother Wayne Ridley, and sister Bonnie Bradstreet. Surviving is his daughter Karleen and Dennis Wooster of Scottsdale, AZ; brothers, Eldon Ridley, and Larry Emmett Ridley; sisters Bette Carpenter, and Carole and (Terry) Wyers; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 1-3 P.M. with funeral services at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, Michigan. Officiating will be Rev. David Meister from Casco United Methodist Church. A private burial will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Charlie's name to the Casco United Methodist Church, 880 66th Street, South Haven, MI 49090. An online registry book is available at www.chappellfuneralhome.com
