Charles Fredrick Neldon, 88 of Holland, Michigan, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022. Born July 8, 1934 in Crabtree, Arkansas, he was the son of the late William and Mollie (Williams) Neldon and the husband of the late Arlie Ree (Jackson) Neldon. Charles was a charming and extremely funny man who was loved by everyone. He had a great disposition and people just seemed to gravitate to him because he was so much fun to be around. Being an excellent horticulturalist, Charles took great pride in his garden. He also enjoyed fishing whenever given the chance. Spending time with his family meant the most to him. Charles was very family oriented and watching his family grow and enjoy being around each other, made his life truly full. He was a wonderful father, grandpa and great-grandpa and he is greatly missed by all. Charles is survived by his daughter, Melinda (Dave) McNeal; three sisters; two grandchildren, Janeen (Saudy) Cale and Joe (Hayley) Philippus; and three great grandchildren, Sterling, Cameron and Liv. Along with his parents, William and Mollie; and his wife of 68 years, Arlie Ree, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Friends may meet with the family at Chappell Funeral Home on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at which time the Memorial Service will begin, Pastor Bob Brydges officiating.
