Obituary

Charles Phillip "Snake" McEachin, age 84, took his final boat ride with the diamond spark of the sun on the water, July 11, 2013 after courageously spending his last remaining years with Alzheimer's Disease and eventually a stroke at his beautiful new home in Fennville, Michigan. Snake loved his occupation as a sales representative that comprised much of his adult life. He especially enjoyed his relationship with the St. Mary's Foundry of St. Mary's Ohio and the Dine family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Krammin, his brother David McEachin and wife Ruth, his sister-in-law Mary Ann McEachin wife of his departed brother Thomas and many nieces and nephews and friends, especially his "animal buddies" and his adoring caretakers. At this time, there will be no funeral or memorial as Snake and Mary Ann believe this Hopi Prayer tells you where you will find Snake: Do not stand by my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on the ripened grain I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand by my grave and cry: I am not there, I did not die. Donations can be made to the Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd., Holland, Michigan 49423, who made it possible for his wife to lie by Snake's side, holding his hand, at home, instead of some strange place. An online registry is available at www.chappellfuneralhome.com
