Carolyn Marie (Shields) Frielink, age 73, of Fennville, Michigan, passed away at Wings Home in Allegan on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Born November 5, 1941 in Holland, Michigan, she was the daughter of Ted and Lois (Creason) Shields. Carolyn was a school teacher for many years and later in her life worked as a manager at JoAnn Fabrics and in the deli at Meijer. Carolyn was an avid seamstress, and enjoyed working in her garden and canning with her mother. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving is her mother Lois, children Julie Frielink, Kristy Frielink, and Grant Frielink Jr., grandchildren Michael Brown, Nicole Frielink, Mitchell Frielink, and Jessica Frielink, brothers Ted Shields, Bill Shields, Brian Shields, Mike Shields, and dear friend Deb Scurio. At Carolyn's request cremation has taken place and private family services have been held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wings Home, 330 Linn Street Allegan, MI 49010.
