Caroline (Kay) Ward, 83, of Fennville, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Golden Orchards Assisted Living. Born Oct. 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Elmer and Minnie (Lierman) Reum. Kay lived in the Fennville area for the past 32 years, coming from Bloomington, IL, she retired from Life Savers in Holland, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw, MI, and also V.F.W. Post #7911 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her children; Debra and Tony Scurio of Fennville, Dan and Sherry Lewis of Bloomington, IL, Jan and Bruce Rowland of Greenville, MI, and Larry and Bev Ward of Grand Haven, MI, grandchildren; Kyle Scurio, Chad Rowland, and Brent Rowland, sisters; June Sophie and Alice Codding of Bloomington, IL, Vialee Feild of Pontiac, IL, Mary Ann Milton of Colfax, IL and brother Orville and JoAnn Reum of Normal, Illinois. Kay was preceded in death by her husband Neal Ward in 2003, and brothers J.R. and Richard Reum. Funeral Services will be Monday, Aug 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville, with visiting from 10:00 a.m. till service time, officiating will be Rev. Mark Whittaker, and burial will be in Taylor Cemetery, Ganges Township.
