Carol Ann (Haisch) Harrington, a beacon of warmth and kindness, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024, at her beloved home in Fennville, MI. Born on August 23, 1945, in Dearborn, MI, Carol's infectious smile and generous spirit were a gift to all who knew her.
Carol's life was a tapestry of love and joy woven through her cherished relationships. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Tom Harrington, with whom she shared a beautiful journey filled with laughter and adventure. Carol was a loving mother to her children, Joshua (Rebecca) and Jodi (Joe), and a doting grandmother to her grandson, Maxwell Danger, who brought an immeasurable amount of joy into her life.
She was a sister, a confidante, and a friend to her siblings, Frank, Jack and Billy. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her stillborn child Jamie. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and she nurtured these bonds with unwavering love and affection.
Carol's zest for life was evident to all who had the pleasure of crossing her path. She was the epitome of a social butterfly, often striking up conversations with random people and making lasting connections. Her whimsey was a reflection of her soul—vibrant, full of life, and meticulously cared for. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was a ride on her golf cart, caring for her animals, or embarking on travels to new and exciting destinations.
Her home was a hub of hospitality, as she relished in hosting parties and events, always ensuring that everyone felt welcome and cherished. Carol had a special knack for making guests feel at home, particularly those who rented out the cabins on her property. She cherished the moments spent by the lake, marveling at the beauty of storms and sunsets, and her love for the color yellow was as bright and cheerful as her personality.
An avid gambler, Carol enjoyed the thrill of the game, whether it was at the casino or on her computer. Her love for technology kept her connected with friends and family, near and far, and she embraced the digital world with enthusiasm and curiosity.
Carol Ann Harrington will be remembered as a loving, friendly, and kind soul with a distinct voice. A memorial visitation and service will be held at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI 49408 on Saturday, July 20, 2024, starting at 11:00am.Service to start at 12:00pm
