Betty Boeskool, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2021, after a 5-year battle with cancer. She was born in Fennville, MI, on March 30, 1942, to Louis and Flossie Knikelbine. Some of her happiest moments were spent with her daughters and grandchildren, all of whom she was fiercely proud. She loved sunshine and the outdoors and in her free time was often found in her garden, taking walks or picking fresh fruit. She enjoyed reading and was known for her baking, especially her fresh-baked pies. Betty is survived by her daughters Tammy Melvin of Hamilton and Cindy Maxwell (Ian Lewenstein) of River Falls, WI, and grandchildren Brittany Melvin of Hudsonville, Brandon (Rachel) Melvin of Allegan, Mackenzie Melvin of Battle Creek, and Maxwell Pnewski of River Falls, WI. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Holland. No services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
