Betty Jane O'Brien, 86, of Fennville, went to be with the Lord on the morning of December 22, 2018. She passed away surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on February 29, 1932 in South Milwaukee, WI of the late Owen and Ruth Feldt. Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Francis "Mickey" O'Brien; son, Michael O'Brien and sister, Ann Jackson. She is survived by her brother, Owen "Butch" (Judy) Feldt, 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Betty was a person of strong faith in the Lord. She was a member of Ganges Baptist Church. She was the owner and operator of the Douglas Bakery for 15 years, but she was first and foremost a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Betty enjoyed to knit, bake and used to volunteer at the Douglas Hospital. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW. A visitation will be held at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St, Fennville, MI 49408 on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 11 AM - 1 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Fennville City Cemetery.
