Betty Jo Batey, age 77, of Fennville died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Holland Hospital. She was born August 9, 1933 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Albert and Essie (Henrich) Maynard. She lived in the Fennville area most of her life. Betty was preceded in death by her husband William Batey in May of 1992. Surviving are her children, Ron & Linda Maynard of West Olive, Michigan, Don Maynard of Holland, Michigan, Gordon & Shelly Batey of Fennville, Michigan, Lee & Julie Batey of Fennville, Michigan, Darla and Edward Hite of Salem, Arkansas, Wilma Ruder of Holland, Michigan, Thelma Ipema of Holland, Michigan, Lila and Michael Gilley of Fennville, Michigan; 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Gene Maynard of Arizona and Homer McFarland of Holland, Michigan. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services are scheduled Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Thomas Case officiating.
