Bert Louis Trapani, age 90 of Savannah, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation in Zeeland, MI. Born July 25, 1921 in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of John and Mary (Lovett) Trapani. A Marine veteran serving in WW II, Bert was a graduate of Auburn University, with a degree in mechanical engineering, and retired as a business owner. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane, on June 14, 1984, he is survived by his children Bert and Jeanne Trapani of Atlanta GA, John Trapani of Duluth, GA, James Trapani of North Carolina, Patricia and Francis Kermand of Glenn Ellyn, IL, Mary Christine and Dave Cooper of Snellville, GA, Mary F. and Mark Bild of Fennville, MI, Annie and David Nunley of Atlanta, GA, 27 grand grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, with a Rosary at 12:15 p.m., and a Requium Mass at 1:00 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI, with Fr. Timothy Sick officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery in Sandy Spring, GA.
