Bernice S. Mills, age 64, of Pullman, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. She was the daughter of Huey A. and Ida M. (Spencer) McElyea. Bernice was born on May 15, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. Bernice worked for many years as a cook at the Blue Goose in Fennville. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her children; Larry (Shawn) Smith of Pullman, Kelly (Matthew) Johnson of Holland, Arista Smith of Pullman and Huey Smith of Pullman; eight grand children; and two sisters, Sharon McElyea of West Virginia and Barb Wolfe of Missouri. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place; there will be a graveside memorial service at 1 PM on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Lee Cemetery in Pullman.
