Avery June Betts, 7, of Fennville, MI passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 after a courageous battle with DIPG. Born September 4, 2011 in Holland, she was the daughter of Michael Lee Betts and Melissa Marie Bielik-Betts the big sister of Ember Betts and the younger half sister to two older sisters and two older brothers. She was excited to attend Douglas Elementary School as a first grader. Avery will be remembered for her outgoing and kind spirit. She loved trying new things and was never afraid to face a challenge. Avery had a multitude of interests and hobbies. She enjoyed doing crafts, going swimming and riding rollercoasters. She loved princesses and firetrucks and most everything in between. In addition to her parents and her sisters, Avery is survived by her grandparents, Charles and Kathleen Bielik; aunt and uncle, Adam and Jen Bielik; cousins, Charlotte and Sam Bielik ; and a host of extended family members and friends too numerous to list by name. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Saugatuck High School, 401 Elizabeth Street Saugatuck, MI 49453. Refreshments will be served during this time. A celebration of Avery's life will begin at 1:00 pm at the Saugatuck High School. Burial will follow at Plummerville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to #BettsStrong to assist in furthering the fight with DIPG. Chappell Funeral Home, along with family and friends are assisting Avery's family with arrangements.
