Obituary

Aurora Sauceda (Duron), a beacon of love and joy, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, in Holland, Michigan. Born on May 27, 1935, in San Antonio, Texas, Aurora's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with the love of family, the joy of music, and the simple pleasures of life.

Aurora's journey began as the cherished daughter of Marcos and Constancia Duron. Her vibrant spirit was a light that shone brightly throughout her 89 years. Aurora's life was further blessed when she married her soulmate, Juan Sauceda, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring love for 50 years until his passing in 2003.

Together, they raised a family that was the center of Aurora's world. She was the proud and devoted mother to Maria (Mike) Yarmer, George (Imelda) Sauceda, Rudy Sauceda, Yolanda (Armando) Montez, Ruben Sauceda, Carlos Sauceda, and Olga (Rene) Nava. Her legacy continued to flourish with her 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and cherished deeply.

Aurora's siblings, Arturo Duron, Paul Duron, Oscar Duron and Mary Duron, who preceded her death, and left to cherish her memory are, Delia Cavazos and Juanita Telamentez, shared in the many joys and sorrows throughout her life, and her bond with them remained unbreakable. Together, they navigated life's moments, always supporting and loving one another.

Music and dancing were among Aurora's greatest passions. She found immense joy in the rhythms that spoke to her soul, and she danced through life with a grace that was as natural as it was captivating. Her love for cowboy movies was well-known, as she could often be found engrossed in the tales of the Old West, a smile playing on her lips.

Aurora had a knack for puzzles, a hobby that reflected her patience and thoughtful nature. Her garden was a testament to her love for flowers, and the color purple was a signature of her presence—a hue that matched the warmth and depth of her character.

Above all, Aurora was loving. This single word encapsulates the essence of who she was—a woman whose heart knew no bounds, whose kindness touched all who knew her, and whose love will continue to resonate in the lives of her family and friends.

Aurora's life was a melody of moments that created an unforgettable symphony. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we take solace in knowing that her spirit will continue to dance among us, guiding us with the same love and light that she so generously shared during her time on earth. Aurora Sauceda's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
