Aurora Hernandez, age 70, of Fennville, died Friday, October 5, 2007, at Holland Hospital. Aurora was born July 6, 1937, in Weslaco, TX, to Geronimo and Rita (Gonzalez) Perez. She married Santos Hernandez on April 3, 1956, and retired from Michigan Fruit Canners. She was preceded in death by a son Alonzo in 1962, by a grandson by one sister and one brother. She is survived by her husband, Santos; children; Jaime and Mary Hernandez of Milton, Fl, Esmeralda Garcia of Homewood, IL, Letty and Doug Smith of Holland, MI, Victor and Alicia Hernandez of Fennville, MI, Martin and Lisa Hernandez of England; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; Lydia Flores of Fort Worth, TX, Ameilia Martinez of Weslaco, TX; many nieces and nephews. Services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., in Fennville, MI. Officiating will Fr. Arturo Howard with burial at Fennville Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
