Armelia (Waldo) Brown, 80 of Douglas, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Grace of Douglas Cove Health and Rehabilitation Center in Holland, Michigan with her family by her side. Born April 10, 1941, Armelia was the daughter of the late Catherine Waldo and the wife of the late James Alton Brown. Together, Armelia and James had four children, Treasa, Donald, Sara and James and were lucky to also have many grandkids and great-grandkids in their lives. She worked as a cashier in a grocery store and enjoyed chatting with the customers. As she aged, her health declined and her children were pleased that she could live close by and spend her last days at Douglas Cove where she received wonderful care. Armelia is survived by her children, Donald Brown, Sara Holtsclaw, and James (Lori) Brown; several grandkids and great-grandkids, Christopher Brown, Ashly Brown, Cassandra Holtsclaw, Stephanie Brown, Tommy Nichols, Cory Brown, Mary Brown and Erica Mitz. Along with her mother and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Treasa Kohlhoff. Friends may meet with the family for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Brown home, 6650 122nd Avenue, Fennville, MI 49408.
